Master Thesis Büyük Veri ve Veri Analitiğinin Mimari Tasarım Süreçlerine Etkisi(2025) Özüberk, Pelin; Asıliskender, BurakBüyük verinin artan yaygınlaşması ve veri analitiğindeki gelişmeler mimari tasarım süreçlerini kökten dönüştürmektedir. Bu tez, mimari alandaki büyük verinin rolünü ve etkisini araştırıyor ve geniş veri kümelerinin ve analitik tekniklerin geleneksel ve dijital tasarım iş akışlarını nasıl etkilediğine odaklanmaktadır. Veri, bilgi ve bilgi birikimi kavramlarının ayrıntılı bir incelemesi yoluyla bu tez, veri odaklı yaklaşımların mimarların tasarımları kavramsallaştırma, geliştirme ve optimize etme biçimini nasıl yeniden şekillendirdiğini ana hatlarıyla açıklamaktadır. Araştırma, geleneksel sezgiye dayalı tasarım modellerinden dijital, uyarlanabilir ve performans odaklı metodolojilere geçişi incelemekte ve mimariyle ilgili kritik veri analitiği ilkelerini ve tekniklerini vurgulamaktadır. Ayrıca, büyük veri entegrasyonunun sağladığı uyarlanabilir tasarım, üretken sistemler ve performansa dayalı stratejiler gibi çağdaş uygulamaları analiz etmektedir. Çalışma, büyük verinin ortaya koyduğu fırsatlar ve zorluklar üzerine düşünerek, disiplinler arası iş birliğinin gerekliliğini, etik hususları ve gelecekteki uygulayıcıları donatmak için mimarlık eğitiminin evrimini vurgula. By exploring the relationship between contemporary art exhibitions and the architecture of museum buildings, a comprehensive analysis is offered of how these elements engage in a dynamic dialogue. Through a detailed comparative analysis of four landmark institutions—Fondazione Prada in Milan, Strozzi Palace in Florence, MAXXI in Rome, and the Venice Biennale's Arsenale—the study investigates the transformative role of architectural innovation in redefining historical structures for contemporary cultural purposes. The research underscores the significance of adaptive reuse in the evolution of museum spaces, examining how the architectural characteristics and spatial configurations of each building influence curatorial strategies and display of art. Focusing on the interplay between museum architecture and the thematic content of art exhibitions, the study highlights how museums serve as active participants in cultural discourse. Contemporary urban green spaces are intended as full and flexible locations rather than depending on a specific physical arrangement with functional limits. Urban green spaces are nowadays not solely utilized for recreational pursuits that put constraints on users (such as sports facilities, child-friendly play areas, sitting places, etc.); rather, they generate dynamic, adaptable landscapes that give opportunity for a range of activities. Thanks to varied activities citizens in the urban might have chance to gather and engage each other. This supplying the urban offers flexible spaces and functions for individuals with varied background. As a consequence, contemporary green spaces draw in a range of individuals, providing everyone the possibility to pick activities they prefer and spend their spare time. In order to comprehend how people, engage socially in urban green spaces, this study analyzes how urban green spaces have altered historically from ancient to present times. Three parks in the contemporary world are investigated through activities owing to the concepts of Jane Jacobs and Jan Gehl. The study also gives projections and design proposals for green areas of the future. Although urban vitality is associated with the city center and historical areas, studies related to recent suburban are encountered in the literature. This study aims to fill the gap in the literature by addressing the development of suburbs, which have undeniable importance for the life of cities, and associating them with urban vitality. In this thesis, four-building groups representing İldem, which are the dominant patterns in the İldem Suburb of Kayseri city, have been chosen as a case study. According to the suburban conditions, urban vitality conditions have been reconsidered. The new urban vitality conditions include the tools of the quality of the built environment practices and the human dimension, which is the focus of the concept of urban vitality. The urban vitality conditions created for İldem Suburb, these suburbs have been illustrated with maps and plans. Instead of expressing the urban vitality and the built environment with numerical data, have been aimed to describe the life and urban vitality in the suburbs by illustrated them. In this context, reconsidering the basic research problem examined through İldem Suburb. The concept of urban vitality should be addressed not only in city centers but also in suburbs, and urban spaces should support the quality-built environment and social interaction. Libraries have been playing a vital role in the development of human civilization. For this scope, this thesis studies understanding libraries with their historical background and their new spatial forms and understandings. The evolution of libraries has been searched and key developments that led to extensive change have been examined. According to the developments in information and technology, there have been significant impacts on library spaces. Information has passed from the physical environment to the digital environment, and access to information and knowledge has become much easier with the integration of technological tools. This thesis surveys the effects and transformations of libraries on function and architectural form, as well as their spatial usage through morphological analysis, criticizes emerging views such as Third Space and design practices in library spaces and explains contemporary libraries by examining the effects of the concept of Third Space. Today, libraries aren't only institutions that store information anymore; They have also become social and public hubs where information is produced and shared. The study intends to discover this emerging transition in the architectural form of library space through syntactic and morphological analyzes of selected contemporary libraries, Lochal library, Birmingham library, Calgary Central Library, and Helsinki Central Oodi library. According to developments, the Thesis proposes to interpret and define library spaces over time have been discussed and made predictions about design practices, space understandings of the library, and library concept related to the future library spaces. With the inclusion of digital technologies in the space, hybrid spaces have emerged as a transitional form between physical and virtual space. These transformations in the space have reduced the need for the physical environment to interact with the user. Decentralized distribution channels and web 3.0 have important implications for the idea of virtualization of space. Considering both the distributed network protocol and the transaction structures of cryptocurrencies that do not need physical reality, it is observed that many leading banks and financial institutions have adapted their headquarters and branches to this transformation. It was found meaningful to examine the transformation in bank branches within the scope of the thesis as the area where the transformative effect created by the relationship between finance and technology can be observed the fastest in the user and in the place. The digital interfaces of the space, which has been needed by banking transactions since the first periods of its history and shaped accordingly that banking transactions today, have been discussed and it has been tried to predict the way the space will be handled and design decisions in the future.Master Thesis Mimar Sinan'in Tek Kubbeli Taşra Camilerinin Modüler Tasarım Yaklaşımı(Abdullah Gül Üniversitesi, Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü, 2021) Hürmet Çopuroğlu Eset; Eset, Hürmet; Asıliskender, BurakMimar Sinan'ın cami tasarımındaki mekânsal kurgusunun nasıl olduğu ve nasıl gelişim gösterdiği bilinmemektedir. Daha fazla göz önünde bulunmasına bağlı olarak selatin camilerinden ziyade taşra camilerinde bu kurgunun nasıl işlediği de tam olarak tanımlanamamaktadır. Bu nedenle, bu tez çalışması kapsamında Mimar Sinan'ın Anadolu'nun farklı bölgelerinde bulunan tek kubbeli, beş göz çift revaklı 4 taşra cami seçilmiştir. İncelemeye alınan camiler; Tekirdağ Rüstem Paşa, Diyarbakır Behram Paşa, İzmit Pertev Paşa ve Kayseri Kurşunlu Camisidir. Farklı bölgelerde olmasının yanı sıra birden çok cami analitik olarak incelenerek karşılaştırma zemini daha sağlamlaştırılmıştır. Bu cami örnekleri taşıyıcı sistem tasarımı, çevresel etkenlere bağlı değişimler, boyutsal özellikleri, plan tasarımı, yerel etkiler gibi yapıyı oluşturan ana faktörler üzerinden mimari özellikleri her cami için ayrıca incelenmiştir. Bu analizlerdeki elde edilen veriler üzerinden mekânsal öğelerin formu ve birbirleri ile oransal olarak nasıl bir arada bulunduğu tespit edilmiştir. Analitik inceleme sonucunda elde edilen parametreler bir araya getirilerek modüler çözümleme yönteminin altlığı oluşturulmuştur. Bu altlığa bağlı kalarak camilerden elde edilen sayısal parametreler ile birim modül tespit edilerek yapıların modüler çözümlemesi yapılmıştır. Çözümlemeler öncelikle her cami için tek ve iki boyutta oransal değerleri işlenerek üç boyuttaki hacimsel formlarda da ele alınmıştır. Böylece plan düzleminde elde edilen verilerin kesit ve cephe düzleminde de hem kontrolü hem de farklı etkileri değerlendirilmiştir. Bütün elde edilen bulgular her cami özelinde ve beraber ele alınarak çizim ve tablolarla desteklenmiştir. Küreselleşme ile birlikte ortaya çıkan mobilitenin bir yansıması sonucu insanlar çalışma mekanı olarak yalnızca ofisleri değil, kafe, havaalanı gibi çeşitli yerleri de kullanmaya başladı, ofis kavramı esnekleşti. Değişen dünyada emek artık rijit değil, esnek. Peki bu esnek emeğin ihtiyacı olan mekana kapitalizme hizmet etmeye başladıktan sonra ideolojik görevini yerine getiremeyen mimarlık cevap verebilir mi? Parametrik tasarımla yaratılan esnek mekanlar bu esnek emeğin ihtiyaç duyduğu mekanları yaratabilir mi? Parametrik tasarımla yaratılan formlar aracılığıyla mimarlar yine toplum ideoloğu olarak görev yapabilirler mi? Bu çalışmada aidiyet kavramından yola çıkılarak, öncelikle mekanın önemi anlaşılmaya çalışılmış, bir yere ait olma ve yabancılaşma kavramları tartışılmıştır. Daha sonra günümüz iş hayatının temellerini oluşturan kapitalizm ve süreçlerine değinilmiştir. Sonrasında, bu süreçte ofis mekanlarında yaşanan değişimi görmek adına ofis mekanlarının evriminden bahsedilmiş ve bu evrimi görselleştirmek için filmlerden yararlanılmıştır. En son olarak ise Tafuri, Sennett ve Schumacher etkileriyle günümüz toplum yapısı, iş hayatı ve mimarlığın buradaki rolü tartışılmış, ofis kullanıcılarının beklentileri ve gelecek senaryolu filmlerdeki yaşam biçimi öngörüleri üzerinden geleceğin ofis mekanı ile ilgili öneride bulunulmuştur.
