Article Unsettled Grounds, Enduring Bonds: A Literature Review on Employee Engagement during Organizational Change(Routledge Journals, Taylor & Francis Ltd, 2026) Abbas, Alhamzah F.; Ahmed, Ayesha; Usman, Muhammad; Shah, Syed Haider AliThis systematic review critically examines how employee engagement is conceptualized and operationalized within the context of organizational change, aiming to uncover prevailing themes, highlight conceptual inconsistencies, and identify gaps in the literature to advance understanding in evolving organizational settings. Guided by the the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA framework, the study analyzes 29 peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2006 and 2025, retrieved from the Scopus database, employing thematic synthesis and citation mapping to explore both organizational and individual-level influences on engagement during change. The findings reveal a dual-level framework: at the organizational level, leadership, organizational support, communication, and cultural and contextual dynamics play a central role, while at the individual level, psychological and emotional factors, behavioral patterns, attitudes toward change, and opportunities for skill development and career progression are key drivers. This review contributes by clarifying conceptual boundaries, identifying underexplored dimensions, and providing actionable insights for leaders and HR practitioners to sustain and enhance employee engagement during periods of organizational transition.Article Citation - WoS: 2Citation - Scopus: 2Recent Progress in the Beneficiation of Iron-Manganese Ores: An Overview(Pleiades Publishing Ltd, 2025) Top, SonerIron-manganese (Fe-Mn) ores are essential for steelmaking, ferroalloy production, and emerging energy technologies, yet their beneficiation is challenging due to the close association of Fe and Mn oxides and their overlapping physicochemical properties. This review assesses key processing strategies, including gravity separation, magnetic methods, flotation, reduction roasting, and selective reductive leaching. Physical beneficiation offers limited upgrades, being constrained by mineral liberation and ore texture. Reduction roasting with carbonaceous or hydrogen reductants exploits the different reduction stabilities of Fe and Mn oxides, creating magnetic contrasts for effective separation. Hydrometallurgical techniques based on reductive leaching also show strong potential, particularly with biomass-derived or organic reductants, achieving manganese recoveries often above 90-99%. A central focus is the use of Ellingham and Eh-pH diagrams as predictive tools for selective separation. Ellingham diagrams outline the thermodynamic stabilities of Fe and Mn oxides, guiding roasting design, while Eh-pH diagrams describe dissolution behavior under varying acidity and redox conditions, enabling leaching optimization. Integrating these frameworks with experimental evidence demonstrates how thermodynamic and electrochemical principles can improve process selectivity. No single technique universally addresses Fe-Mn beneficiation challenges; instead, hybrid flowsheets combining physical, thermal, and hydrometallurgical routes tailored to ore characteristics are most effective. Future research should prioritize low-carbon and sustainable approaches such as hydrogen roasting, bio-reductant leaching, and zero-waste systems. Turkey has also an ambitious national energy goal of minimizing energy import and producing 30% of electricity from renewable energy sources by 2023. However, it may not be easy to reach these goals. Willingness to Pay (WTP) thus plays a central role in directing appropriate policies for the country to realize its energy targets. This study reviews previous studies in the same literature as well as examines WTP of Turkish citizens for renewable electricity energy by using a stratified-sample and contingent valuation survey of 2500 households. The results from estimated models show that environmental conscience, membership to an environmental organization, age, education level, gender and income of households are significant determinants of WTP. In addition, the mean value of WTP for green electricity by Turkish households is estimated at around US$ 1 (with the exchange rate 5,3 TL/ US$) per month per household. This study aimed to examine the relationship between dispositional system-justifying motives and tendency to support women's rights and to test the mediating role of sexist attitudes in this relationship. A total of 530 Turkish adults participated in the online study, with a mean age of 26.20 years (SD = 5.56). The results show that people with high system justification motivation (including dispositional system-justifying motives, high death anxiety, low need for cognition, and high need for recognition) indicated stronger ambivalent sexism toward women (including hostile and benevolent sexist attitudes). In turn, people with ambivalent sexist attitudes had less willingness to support women's rights (considering attitudes toward women's disadvantaged position in society and awareness and support for the Istanbul Convention). © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.Article Use of Confocal Microscopy to Monitor Structural Transformations in Nanopillars Based on DNA and CdSe/CdZnSe Quantum Dots(Springer, 2023-06-24) Motevich, I. The design and presence of terminal DNA labeled with Cy3 cyanine dyes makes it possible to carry out the hybridization reaction of this terminal strand with complementary DNA and to control the process by variation of the giant Raman scattering (GRS) and the fluorescence signal. Furthermore, the films used in these devices are usually deposited at elevated temperatures (> 300 degrees C) and under high vacuum, which necessitate further restrictions on the device fabrication. Developing an alternative technology would contribute to the efforts on achieving a sustainable optoelectronics technology. Keeping this in our focus, here we present a simple technique to fabricate visible photodetectors (PDs). These fully solution-processed and transparent metal-semiconductor-metal (MSM) PDs employ silver nanowires (Ag NW) as the transparent electrodes replacing the indium-tin-oxide (ITO) commonly used in optoelectronic devices. By repeatedly spin coating Ag NWs on a glass substrate followed by the coating of zinc oxide nanoparticles, we obtained a highly conductive transparent electrode reaching a sheet resistance of 95 omega/? as measured by the four-probe method. Optical spectroscopy revealed that the transmittance of the Ag NW-ZnO films was 84% at 450 nm while the transmittance of the ITO films was 90% at the same wavelength. Following the formation of the conductive film, we scratched it using a heated surgical blade to open a gap. The scanning electron microscope images indicate that a gap of similar to 30 mu m is opened forming an insulating line. As the active layer, we drop-casted red-emitting CdSe/ZnS core-shell quantum dots (QDs) onto this gap to form a MSM PD. These visible QD-based PDs exhibited responsivities and detectivities up to 8.5 mA/W and 0.95 x 109 Jones, respectively at a bias voltage of 5 V and wavelength of 650 nm. The main objective of the study is to underline the importance and necessity for this interaction continue for the sustainable conservation of rural areas.Design/methodology/approachThis paper investigates the relationship between the built environment and daily practices in Turkey's & Ccedil;omakdag Region, known for its significant rural architecture and enduring traditions. Through on-site investigation, the study explores the evolution of these relationships across various scales, including buildings, settlements and the region itself. This multi-scale approach aims to identify remaining cultural values and user needs.FindingsTraditional ways of life have undergone a transformation, impacting the interactions between inhabitants and their natural, agricultural and architectural spaces. The primary drivers of these changes are shifts in income sources, technological advancements and infrastructural developments within the settlements. While maintaining a connection between the built environment and daily life practices remains essential, contemporary living conditions and altered routines present challenges to this continuity.Originality/valueThis study builds on previous research on the & Ccedil;omakdag Region. Batur (2010) explored the region's architectural features, including colors and ornamentation. Kurtulus and G & uuml;& ccedil;han (2020) focused on Kizilaga & ccedil; village, examining typical house characteristics. This research offers a new perspective on rural heritage preservation. In this study, new structural profile matrices (SPM) are developed for protein secondary structure, solvent accessibility and torsion angle class predictions, which could be used as input to 3D prediction algorithms. The structural templates employed in computing SPMs are detected by eight alignment methods in LOMETS server, gap affine alignment method, ScanProsite, PfamScan, and HHblits. The contribution of each template is weighted by its similarity to target, which is assessed by several sequence alignment scores. For comparison, the SPMs are also computed using Homolpro, which uses BLAST for target template alignments and does not assign weights to templates. Incorporating the SPMs into DSPRED classifier, the prediction accuracy improves significantly as demonstrated by cross-validation experiments on two difficult benchmarks. The most accurate predictions are obtained using the SPMs derived by threading methods in LOMETS server. The data from 81 BIST100 companies over a three-year period has been analyzed, with a focus on risk minimization and strategic investment. The SAX method, integrated with a dendrogram, categorizes stocks into sector-based and non-sector-based clusters, providing insights for portfolio optimization. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the method in identifying relevant stock patterns across sectors, aiding in more informed investment decisions. This approach highlights the need for considering multiple factors in investment strategies, offering a new perspective on stock market analysis with advanced clustering techniques.
