bookpart.listelement.badge The Digitized Shoulder: From Preoperative Planning to Patient-Specific Guides(SPRINGER LINK, 2022) Sadeghi, Majid Mohammad; Kapicioglu, Mehmet; Kececi, Emin Faruk; Bilsel, Kerem; 0000-0001-8561-6960; AGÜ, Mühendislik Fakültesi, Makine Mühendisliği Bölümü; Kececi, Emin FarukAs the information and computer technologies improve, it can change how the shoulder surgeries and treatments are done. Digitalization of the shoulder joint acquired via MR and CT (1) shows the surgeons the pathology in a more easily understandable way, (2) generates models for preoperative planning, and (3) uses special software to generate patient-specific instruments. Digitalization of the shoulder will make the shoulder disorder’s treatment easier and more accurate in the future.conferenceobject.listelement.badge Localization of an autonomous personnel carrying vehicle in indoor environments(Association for Computing Machinery, 2017) Altuǧ, Erdinç; Gelbal, Şükrü Yaren; Keçeci, Emin Faruk; Gültekin, Mehmet Kabil; 0000-0001-8561-6960; AGÜ, Mühendislik Fakültesi, Makine Mühendisliği Bölümü; Keçeci, Emin FarukThere is an emerging need of intelligent vehicles on indoor environments such as university campuses, airports or shopping malls. These intelligent vehicles can help elderly, disabled, or people with heavy luggage. This paper describes an intelligent vehicle that can be used indoor as well as outdoor areas for this purpose. Finding the exact location for indoor robots is not an easy task, since Global Positioning System (GPS) is not available indoors. In this work onboard sensors such as motor encoder and steering-wheel encoder were used to obtain localization estimates. The errors are determined to be low even when the vehicle travels long distances.Book Mechatronic Components: Roadmap to Design(ELSEVIER, 2018) Kececi, Emin Faruk; 0000-0001-8561-6960; AGÜ, Mühendislik Fakültesi, Makine Mühendisliği Bölümü; Kececi, Emin FarukMechatronic Components: Roadmap to Design explains the practical application of mechatronics, including sections on adaptive structures, robotics and other areas where mechanics and electronics converge. Professional engineers in a variety of areas will find this textbook to be extremely helpful with its in-depth use of flow diagrams and schemes that help readers understand the logic behind the design of such systems. Using approximately 130 different components with diagrams and flowcharts that help engineers from different fields understand the general properties and selection criteria of a component, this book presents a comprehensive resource on mechatronic components.
